cooker hood purged

hi all

have been to look at an extention were the kitchen will be affected and on spec they have detailed that the cooker hood should be purged with control from the light switch with run on.
the hood is the type that you would screw to the bottom of a bridging unit.
my problem is that the hood does'nt have a timer ect so how can i do this.
i have sugested to building control a seperate wall fan controled as spec but had no reply yet.
any thoughts

I think xplelair or ventaxia make a stand alone timer over-run module or switch
