Penance

Still sorting our kitchen for my scam assessment.
Have worked out cooker position and put switch and outlet boxes, Also an fcu to supply cooker hood.
Question is do cooker hood follow any standard regarding position of flex outlet, left or right?
Or is it acceptable to put my flex outlet from fcu so as it would be behind the hoods chimney cowl?

Sorry wasn't clear, not talking about isolator just a flex outlet plate.
Isolator is the fcu on the ring final, it is positioned next to the cooker isolation switch and around 400mm from left side of cooker.

Don't know if it's technically right or wrong but I hang a bit of twin out the wall where the centre of the chimney will be and choc box to the flex from the hood. Minimal fuss and the cable can always be shuffled to a convenient place to allow the cover to fit.

DES, nice idea but no wall units near, cooker is between 2 windows.
T&E heads down from fcu and runs under the floor, trying to work out where to bring it up. If needs be I'll have to wait till we have the hood before positing the flex outlet.
Just wondered if they all followed a standard regarding flex outlet side on the appliance.

Bury the cable on the centre line of the cowl and bring it out of the wall to you can chock box it off onto the hood flex:this way you hide it behind the cowl (which is easily removable for access to joints: 2 screws usually)........
