A kitchen fitter friend is seeking advice before he approaches the company.
He turned off the kitchen ring to install a cooker hood and found the supply was still live, he found the supply was taken from the bedroom ring. He spoken to the electrician briefly and the electrician said it was ok to do but he's not happy about the cooker hood being fed from the bderoom ring and wants it changed.
My thoughts on this is that it's not ideal and I would run the cooker hood from the kitchen ring but as long as it has a FCU, the CU is correctly labelled and certificate states the cooker hood is fed from the bedroom ring MCB, I would let it go.
What are your thoughts on this and is there anything in the regs saying that it cannot be done this way?
Thanks.
