Ive just looked at a job where the double oven is fed from the ring main with no isolator. The rating is 4.2 kw which would draw 18 odd amps. There is no circuit on the board for a cooker. Im not sure wether it would be acceptable to fit an isolator or would it be best to put in a sole circuit for it.

Don't have my BS 7671 to hand, I believe it is in Appendix 15, a recommendation that appliances over 2KW should be on a separate circuit.

It might be my house then, there is a 4 KW oven on my kitchen ring in my house, been like it for 18 years now, totally against the norm but it works lol
