have a dual fuel cooker here and one half doesnt seem to work this morning... ie one oven, the clock and the ignitor for gas... im still cooking the roast on otherside.. so cant look now.. any tips and tricks up your sleve to bump me along.. thanks and happy new year
update update, ive found this tell me your thoughts tangled with your knowledge..
The oven on the right hand side has stopped working along with the ignition and the clock but the fan oven is fine any idea's
I had the same problem real easy fix
The thermal fuse is at the rear behind the oven.
First remove the rear panels, you will need to take the middle cover off first then you can take off the lower rear panel, as its the left side (looking from the back) you will have no problems with the mains connector as its on the other side.
Once the rear panel is off you need to look for a brown wire, at some point on the wire you see some red or black rubber heat shrink. Remove the heat shrink by sliding off to one side or just cut it. now the thermal fuse is exposed its only a small thing and you can get a replacment from MAPLIN part no:RA23A, its only 79p!
Idealy you should crimp or solder it in if not use chok block and cover it in insulating tape.
If it's the fuse that has blown then maybe it's the thermostat/temp probe for that oven that's failing/failed. First try and find the reason for the fuse blowing.
well i will disect tomorrow.. but im led to believe its the thermal fuse at the righhandside of the oven.... ive read these are now replaced with thermal cutouts rather than thermal fuses....
as for finding out the true cause, im at a loss of brain cells.. but this has happened before for someone else as i have been reading and searching info all day.
ive read ,disconnect the thermal fuse and connect together to check if this is the problem then replace...
there is an appliance engineer on this site called toto if anyone knows if he has been on in a while who is very friendly.. cheers guysss
the cooker has been on for nearly 2 weeks constant and a stone heavier later its broke
