Hello all. I need to lengthen the cooker socket cable in order to move the socket. I have crimped the 2.5 cable I had to lengthen for the lights Ive fitted in another area of the kitchen but Im worried looking at the thickness of this cable that feeds to the cooker socket....I have some larger crimper connectors but Im unsure if this is safe to do. Can somebody please advise me how to join this cable in order to lengthen it. Are the crimper connectors ok to use ? or is there another way ?
Thank you
Daniel

Well...I DO have kids...four of them...and I love them all very much....and NO I could not live with myself If they all burned to death.
I will get a qualified Electrician in as soon as possible to check what I have already done....and get advice on how best to do the cooker cable job.
While he's here I will get him to test it all.
Thank you very much for your help.

Fair play to you, sometimes the cost of doing the job right is more expensive than calling in a pro. Anyway good luck.

Alex.

Wasters,

I come on this forum for advise myself and (well hopefully) give some advise along the way.

I haven't really got the time to read pages of posts to find out someones having a laugh, so do us all a favor, get a life.

All this is of course you are actually winding us up (judging by your other posts you are)!

How come you've you say you've already crimped a lighting circuit, but then further down you say you haven't used crimps yet? Daz
