Just a bit confused with the cooker diversity. Now the cooker is 9800kw-10700kw 'the calculations below I have used 10700kw at 240v' the dB has a 32amp MCB and has about 13 meters of 6mm t&e to the outlet. I remember a thing from college says 10amps + 30% of the remainder current 22.3 amps? It is just an isolator there is no socket so theres no need for the +5amp but if the cookers on full load its going to come to 51.7 Amps o.o...its a double oven etc but I dout everything will be on at one time so this would need to be on a 10mm on a 40/45 amp MCB? Correct.

Re: cookers and diiversoty

by using diversity as you have done, they gives you your design current Ib of 22.3A. now Ib<In<Iz, so 6mm on a 32A MCB id fine.

Re: cookers and diiversoty

no, because the loads in the cooker will be switching in and out with the stats, also bear in mind that a 32A MCB will hold for about 1 hour @ 45A.

Re: cookers and diiversoty

It will be fine on 32A MCB.

Your memory is correct but your maths is not.

10700 / 240 = 44.6A (9800 / 230 = 42.6A)

After diversity 20.4A. So a 32A supply gives over 50% tolerance.
In any case the cable can carry 47A (method C).

Re: cookers and diiversoty

May of been my phone autocorrecting no clue why I would pit kW haha would of needed to be some oven to pull that hahaha

Got the supply for the oven sorted Mike.
