Hello all..

I figure its better to ask and be ridiculed than not!

I am about to add a couple of spurs to a ring that is not RCD protected. The neighbour definitely wants them channeled in rather than surface trunking so I have to RCD protect. It is an old Tenby CU with crabtree SB6000 MCB's. I have found a 32A RCCB which fits this board (see below)

The modern RCBO's are self explanatory with there flying neutral and (sometimes) earth and I am 99.9% certain this is right (diagram below) but I just wanted some reassurance that I take a single 2.5mm[SUP]2 [/SUP]conductor to neutral bar from N Supply, as the RCCB looks different to any of the modern ones.

Thanks..

correct apart from the neutral link needs to be greater than 2.5mm?

Could you explain a little more please? The ring is on a 2.5mm, why would the supply neutral need to be bigger for the RCCB if its just dealing with that one circuit?
