pro`s are the amount of work that may follow. con`s are the payment terms and the amount of time you will have to wait for the magic cheque. i knew a builder that did loads of work for the local council, he ended up in a load of trouble while he was paying the lad`s and waiting for the money to come through. i am not saying that they do not pay but he got paid very slowly and there was not an issue with any of the works either. if you can afford to wait on the money and survive than that`s good. trouble is some electrical companies i have seen doing a full pir in the properties in 30 minutes for them.

Cons - I have never (NEVER!) been in a local authority house that hasn't had at least one fairly major problem.

Pros - See 'Cons': You obviously don't have to be that good. Hope you can get in there and shake it up a bit! Good luck.

i know an ex council spark who used to do the pir`s when it was in house and he said to stick to the hours allocated the first house on a block would be done and the other 30 would be filled in on the sheets in the van. not trying to put you off mate, have a chat with the main man not all councils are the same and at the end of the day it`s your signature on the sheets not theirs good luck with it
