I know the barracks well, mate of mine has been up there for a while now but he's just went on a course down south for a year

Was that on a Job or have you 'worked' here? is that the horse & thunderbolt year long course?

Off topic slightly - i have completed L3 through college, concerned that the training received is only sector entry standard. I am doing what i can when i can but still feel way behind the curve - whats the consensus on EAL quals? i have read some very opinionated reviews from what sounds like the old guard, i see their point but the industry is not being a selective preferred choice so i am reckoning on an apprentice shortfall soon (3/4 yr). i would say im a late starter; but i am just completing a full service + 2 yr continued and wont be able to make up the full apprenticeship timelines and C&G courses (by any provider) aren't cheap. thoughts?

No never worked there, went there a couple of times when I was at school though. I'm not sure what the course is to be honest, I've hardly seen my mate since he went away.

As for courses I'm not all that clued up on the EAL courses other than what I've read on here, people's opinions on courses and requirements are a bit of a hot topic at the minute though!
