Hi
Ive just changed a Consumer board and fitted a Wylex split load,5 Rcbo's one side and 4 Mcb's on the Rcd side. After connection of all conductors (all in correct terminals) it turns out one leg of my ring has a faulty Cpc, i've carried out an IR test and there's an issue with the neutrals & one Cpc, however ive disconnected every outlet in the house and all terminals are present and tight, I'm assured there are no hidden JB's etc so i am baffled. Could anyone possibly nudge me in the right direction??

Thanks

split the circuit at a guess of half way, then identify the faulty leg. then split the faulty one down till you find the fault. oh, and make sure nothing is plugged in.

You tried doing an ir test on the circuit without the rcbo own N and CPC links? (If the circuit your having problems on is on one of the rcbos) as i think they can sometimes show faults when their isnt one (dont quote me on that lol) i heard it from somewhere a while back

Hi
one leg of my ring has a faulty Cpc,

i've carried out an IR test and there's an issue with the neutrals & one Cpc,

Thanks
When you say one leg of the ring had a faulty cpc do you mean a leg because the cpc should be continuous so any fault at one leg will show up in the other (unless you have split the ring already) but your IR test says, I think, that you have a low IR result from either of the neutrals to only one cpc (and presumably not to the other?)

This seems to indicate that the cpc is non continuous, so do an R2 test on the cpc from the CU to each point and find out where continuity stops, between this and the point before will be the area of the fault.

If the cpc is non continuous and one of the legs cpc's is giving low IR to neutral then I would hazard a guess that one cpc is out of its terminal somewhere and touching a neutral terminal.

In the OP he says one leg has a fault, which made me think why did he write that as it would suggest he's tried splitting it down.

OP - are you SURE you have disconnected everything, inside the house and out?

What are your end to end readings like? Actual IR readings? Approx age of cabling? In town or country (mice)? Has it been raining (water ingress)? Have you check the polarity on all the sockets?
