Hi
Ive just changed a Consumer board and fitted a Wylex split load,5 Rcbo's one side and 4 Mcb's on the Rcd side. After connection of all conductors (all in correct terminals) it turns out one leg of my ring has a faulty Cpc, i've carried out an IR test and there's an issue with the neutrals & one Cpc, however ive disconnected every outlet in the house and all terminals are present and tight, I'm assured there are no hidden JB's etc so i am baffled. Could anyone possibly nudge me in the right direction??

Thanks

Right, I've only read the first five replies and am quite frankly astonished that this hasn't come up at this point. Not wanting to risk reading any more drivel, I apologise if I'm repeating what has already been said.

1. Why are you only finding out about this fault once you've fitted the board? Why are you energising a circuit that you do not know is safe? As far as I'm aware, even the five week wonder courses are teaching to do earth cont and megger tests before juicing up. Firing up a circuit you haven't tested is completely irresponsible and is just asking for trouble.

2. How have you not considered the possibility of damage to the cable between outlets, i.e. someone putting a nail or screw through one when putting up a picture?

Good God I realise this forum has had a brain drain since I was last about but seriously? How has this even got to 5 replies without someone spotting these fundemental problems? Sorry to be a douche, but this has properly wound me up.
