Hi guys.

Correct me if I'm wrong your cpc and earthing conductor should be no less than half the size of your line conductor.

Wrong. See section 543 of BGB

Cpcs and the earthing conductor are sized by the adiabatic equation or can be selected (comparing to the associated line conductor csa and giving a higher csa) from table 54.7.
Bonding conductor csas are selected from table 54.8 according to the size of the supply neutral conductor.

Only on PME earthing supplies!!

Dear Mr. Richard

I don't want to be picky, I just want to clarify this for myself, but isn't that better if instead of LINE we use LIVE or NEUTRAL on that statement?

Regards
R&M

Technically 'Neutral' is a 'Live' conductor. So Mr.Richard would be correct.

Dear Mr. Sparky

That's exactly my point. LIVE or NEUTRAL are correct. But if you notice in the statement it says LINE. I believe that is not correct. I will be appreciate for correcting me if I am wrong.

Regards
R&M

Both Live and Neutral are LINE conductors and will be the same size therefore the cpc for the cable (or the earth conductor for the applience) will be in ratio to the LINE conductor regardless if it is Live or Neutral.

With respect but I believe you are wrong on this.

Both LINE and Neutral are LIVE .
