Yes L&N are both lives conductors this is why now the correct terminology Is Line and Neutral NOT LIVE and NEUTRAL as you suggested in earlier post

Line conductors does not include neutral.
Lines are L1,L2,L3.
neutral is a live conductor.

Thats all what I am saying
L1, L2,L3 & Neutral are LIVE.

If someone says: "comparing to the associated line conductor" THIS IS WRONG
You can say "comparing to the associated Live conductor" OR "comparing to the associated Neutral conductor"

Am I Clear????? :innocent::yes:

You don't have to explain it to me! I know what we both mean and I/we are correct

Dear Sparky
I didn't want to make the expression that I am explain this to you, I just[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] thought maybe it is my weakness in telling what I am thinking. Thank you very much anyway.

lighting

I'm testing the lighting in a hall way and as you see 6mm tails come out of fuse cutout to meter then to isolator, is this acceptable

Wouldn't want much more, if all these tails are supplying is the landlords lighting!! What do you want to install, 25mm tails?? lol!! The meter is only rated for 40A!! lol!!

m1ck_b87: "Yes but all that's protecting the 6mm tails is a 80amp fuse"

If the load of this circuit is limited to C.C.C of that cable (considering reference method, ambient temp. and all) and over load is not possible then it is fine and 80A is acceptable for fault protection.
