Cps and eas

Hi if anyone is a member of napit do you automatically qualify for commercial work if your defined scope is domestic a1.1 but has eas on your scope of approval. I was asked on my first inspection whether I wanted commercial work a1.2 added to scope but said no as all my work is domestic.now I have been asked to shop fit a small highstreet shop.i phoned napit to check but i spoke to an office member.she suggested I email napits electrical department which I've done but had no reply.she also said there would be no fee .looking at there website it's not very clear but does suggest if your cps you can qualify for a1.2 .on my scope certificate I have cps and eas against my company .I will phone the tech team directly to clarify just wondered if any one has done commercial work with a defined a1.1 scope.if your deemed competent then I can't see a problem as long as relevent building standards are met and surveillance is done.i must add I was with select before and there was no restrictions on scope of work regarding eicrs not that I want to do eicrs but you have to sit napits own course to qualify for this ,which I have no intention of doing.also on there check list of what you can and can't do non domestic heating and lighting is ticked under cps?
Thanks
