Hi

I'm testing an old crabtree DB with brown C50 BS3871 Mcbs (with white writing). What TYPE are these. It doesn't say on the mcb. I've looked all over the web and found conflicting answers.

the white marking indicates either the type (2 or 3) or the s/c kA rating (3kA or 4kA), not sure which. look here ( sorry, dan, it's a rival forum) for further confusion.

White writing = type 1 3kA
Yellow writing = type 2 4.5kA

I thought it said on the side of them (which means taking them out ), could be wrong, haven't seen one for a while. I could easily be getting mixed up with nutritional value on the side of my cornflakes
