evening boys+girls.
hope you've all had a good day :)
my morning was great, then at 12.30- got stopped for speeding in my van. wasn't paying attention to what kind of road I was on (dual carriageway) and was doing 75 which I was aware of.
got pulled over and issued a ticket. that's 3 points and what is now a ÂŁ100 fine. not long gone up :-( despite that, I managed to have a decent rest of the day but now need a drink!
oh, and the 2 officers were very nice to me, and gave me a lively sticker to pop on my windscreen with the speed limits on!
I'm not even annoyed, more disappointed in myself as I knew I was wrong.

60mph because of weight of van. 70mph on a motorway though. I just forgot I was in my van I guess.had I been in my car they wouldn't have even bothered stopping me he said. apparently they followed me for half a mile and was.doing between 78-80. my speedo said 75. anyway, can't be annoyed really can I!

No not really , we are the first to shout when others don't go by the book lol.

Tough ------- Dan!
Since when has a Dual Carriageway (with central rev) been 60? 70 down here in English riffraff land.

van... 50mph single cariageway, 60mph dual, 70 mph motorway. the thinking is that as loaded van takes longer to stop than a lightrly loaded car. only exceptions are a car derived van with gross laden weight < 2 tons.

Well.... I've had a difficult week until this morning then, this mornings work went really well and I spent the afternoon drilling 16 downlight holes in the house we are doing up.

Now I'm on my 2nd beer and its only 18.10!!

Insurance is one of those things I never have and never will complain about. it is what it is and whether or not we like it, we need it. obviously I shop around every renewal but the amount I pay in different policies, a few extra quid because of this afternoon won't bother me too much tbh.

I have 3 points lingering on my licence that have been there for 4yrs+. I enquired how I go about getting rid of them and was told it's twenty quid!!! What a rip-off!!! I'll just leave them on. The worst part of it is I was only doing 32 in a 30 zone. :(

costs you to have them removed? bollox. leave em and eventually they expire.
and wtf. 32 in a 30 and getting points. you needed a better solicitor love!
