Just a thought whilst this topic is being discussed

I may not be correct :confused:
As far as I am aware,if there is no contract, the procedure that was introduced to curtail pressure sales could be used to enable someone to get away without making payment in circumstances like those posted above ?
 
I now use an app for invoicing....it's brilliant. It sends them as a PDF from your email, you get a copy in your email to store on your computer or print off. The best thing though is it sends a notification once they've opened the PDF so no BS that they haven't received it etc.
What's the app and how much does it cost you?
 
Can someone suggesting 30 days please quote the relevant legislation?

The Distance Selling Regs allow the 14 day cooling off period but there are defences/ ‘get out clauses’ contained within it like urgent work and small jobs by contractors etc
