Cut out Seals.

Is it still illegal to cut the seals on the fuse cut out?

I"ll rephrase that, does anyone ever get prosecuted?

I hear of sparks who do Dist Board changes just cut the seals, pull the fuse, upgrade the tails if required, before installing the new CU.

surely the supply authority should recognise the fact that service fuses are getting pulled and start fitting isolators when they change the meter,which is what most of us have wanted all along.

It is illegal you can be prosecuted. That said you can phone the DNO and they are usually ok about doing it if they know you are competent. Especially if there is a danger present.
