Cutting cable tray

A few years back I was working in a factory on a job where there were a couple of Germans also doing an install.

They were putting up a lot of cable tray to run a large SWA feed to a new machine.

They were cutting the tray into all sorts of impressive sets etc. using what I can only describe as a small grinder

they were literally throwing the stuff up too, quicker than using a hacksaw

Has anyone seen / used this method?
 
acurate is something to do with the church, lights the candles or something
 
Just done a job with some cable tray for a PV installation, used a 4inch Makita 110v grinder to cut and shape it, looks quite neat in my opinion:
