Dado problems MK

Finishing off project,having trouble fitting bottom lid on dado.
Its Mk,not the normal 3 compartment,lower compartment larger than the top.
a extra container is added to the bottom of the dado to fit the larger lid.
Why this is specificed I have no idea,Mk tech have not been very helpfu,& after a lengthy time say’s its the lid,new lid arrived but still will not fit,a nightmare.
Anyone fitted this type of dado?

Your job or a company’s? 170 metres ?

Company’s, with a new bottom rail ,decorations need re doing,ceiling tiles , & labour.
Hopefully Mk will pay,but who knows,the bottom rail being deliverEd next week.
So to pass handover self tapping dado lid,temp fix.

Thank feck it’s not your job then. Be a nightmare if you have to replace 170m of that tat, it’s crap enough to fit first time, never mind with all the cables cut to perfect lengths etc. Feel sorry for you mate.

Problem with that is if it is a council job, there IT lads will go to add a data point in a few months and kick up a fuss and then you will end up taking it all out anyway, just this time there will be desks, computers and people in the way aswell.
