Data cable tracer?

Hello everyone.
I need to get some sort of data cable tracer. Got one site where there is a hell of a lot network ports lost the labeling, need to sort this out.
Obviously the cables are mix of cat 5 and 6. As far as I understand, as long as its in twisted pairs, the tracer in my link bellow should do it? Otherwise what is other tracer would you suggest, obviously not braking the bank.

That will do the job. The best way I have found when doing this is with two people, one at the patch panel and the other at the socket and a set of two way radios.

I doubt if client is willing to pay for a 2 man job thanks for confirming the tracer.

My experience with these type of cable tracers are, they work ok on data cabling as long as both end are open ie. they are not patched into a data switch/hub or computer at either end. If they are still connected the signal is either cancelled or degraded and untraceable at the other end. JMO.

IR them at 1000v,it's the best end for a BT homehub...

You can still use it on your own with a cheap pair of radios (even something from Toys r us).
The one at the noisy end with the transmit button jammed in/ taped down.

I would go for the cable tester with someone at the far end with a radio. Having two people will take less than 1/2 the time as thre will be no walking back and forward. While it will take longer with the cable tester to start with it will speed up as there are fewer unknown cables to test
