Wondering what most people consider a fair day rate? I know it is area dependent but am a bit unsure myself what to set it at. We are Bristol based!

IMO mate you will be lucky to get that £200-£250 per day in bristol, unless your some sort of specialist in the commercial / industrial sector!! Maybe £160 - £200/220?!

in Poole Dorset you will get between 13 and 15 as subbie and 25 to 30 if your own job although I always give a price as £200 sounds better than £25 an hour for some reason.

Hey fella, i saw no offense in what ya had put, understood the point ya were trying to get across, also understood the points of others lol ;-) No nee to have removed on my account, better to have a debated thread than one with no debate at all!

sorry for the offence. Purely unintentional. I have removed the post

I think it was more to do with the fact that the general public may actually believe that those figures were workable, and say to themselves "My electrician must be ripping me off".
Not offensive mate, just a bit misleading :)
