I think I'm getting the jist......re label the DB circuit numbers to suit your methods.
 
I have seen some DBs marked in some odd ways, when we were panel building the project manager at one place wanted circuit 1 closest to the main switch,on the left, and circuit 2 on the right and so on, so you had all the odd numbers on the left and even on the right, ascending up over, but I have seen plenty of other ways of numbering

Conventionally the circuits are numbered from the incoming supply, usually from highest rated OCPD to the lowest, I think this was for historical reasons as now most internal DB bus-bars are fully rated so it don't really matter, maybe our teachers were from an older generation and the practice just followed on ?

Anyway, it doesn't really matter whatever the physical layout is as far as the schedule of test results is concerned so long as the data matches the correct circuit.
