[ElectriciansForums.net] DBs, is this legal?Firstly, thank you very much for your responses. I was allowed to go home early on Friday afternoon, that's why there has been no reply from me.
I’ve attached a drawing of the supply to the DB in Pic 2
The DBs in the pics are not connected, they are in different locations, my concerns are for both of them. I hope I have been able to explain things below.

Pic1: The one with the finger.
The smaller 3 phase cables on the supply side lead to an isolator, which in turn leads to a 32A socket (3P+E). There is no breaker to protect it except for the one that protects that DB itself, i.e. the DB is supplied from 100A breaker.

Pic 2: See attached drawing.
This being wired as a Single Phase board… the red cable is actually coming from the load side of the main supply switch to the building (250A switch). The only way to isolate the board is to switch the power off to the whole building. The NS100N switch in the attached drawing is wired as shown… nothing connected to the load side.

Thank you again...

Does the isolator have fuse protection in it?? Ie a switch fuse?? If it does it possibly is ok, dependant on length of run.
Pic two looks fine to me.

Thanks, everyone, for all the information.
It is a switch fuse. Is there any other information that I can give that will help to decide if they both meet the regulations?

If it feeds a switch fuse, and is of adequate size the carry the current of the size of the fuse for the final circuit from the switchfuse then there is no issue. As it cannot draw more than this.
The run would need to be as short as possible though.
3m max I'd say.
