6242Y (twin and earth) is rated at 300/500V, considering a string can easily exceed that then there's a good reason for segregation of the two circuits.

Segregation is associated with Band I and Band II circuits and Band I circuits are normally, and certainly in this case classed as ELV.

So regardless of what T+E is rated at anything over 50v and up to 1000 volts, again in this case, would be band II, so regardless of what the DC voltage is as long as it's below 1500V DC it is class II

Having not worked with Dc other than PV and on canal longboats is it common practice to run unshielded Dc circuits with Ac in trunking/tray etc in industrial installations ?
I did some work in a quarry a few years ago and noticed that the few Dc circuits they had were kept well apart from the Ac circuits and did look for a reason for this , I thought it would be due to the Dc cable being unshielded and induced voltages etc but the Ac were all SWA , the only thing I found was via internet search which was a reference to an English translation of a German VDE regulation which did mention this practice in certain instances .

I'm not keen on the idea of clipping the cables side by side in domestic scenarios simply from the view of accidental damage causing arcing etc, although you then have to think about creating loops if you keep
-ve /+ve apart I usually run the cables in conduits, or if clipped run in areas which are not prone to damage like on the outer side of purlins , and I think its a good idea to put warning labels on the more visible side as well as next to the cables just in case someone starts knocking nails in.

Hi every one can I run DC cables together with earth cable in one conduit from the roof? Dos earthling cable has to be connected to the panels frame or in to the railing will be fine as per picture?
Thank you photo4.jpg
