Discuss Decembers 2391 in the Periodic Inspection Reporting & Certification area at ElectriciansForums.net

Aaarh,Eng,that's the jaded, cynical attitude that has pushed our youth towards 3 years at Uni studying for a degree in corporate-business-media-performance-IT nonsense! Remember that people get awarded OBE's now for just turning up at a sports meet, whilst old timers waited years to earn that title by hosting fixit shows and doing lots of charity work...

Only repeating what a new member stated he gained on his 6 week course!! ...So you tell me?? lol!!

I have seen them courses online and heard its multiple choice exam style now.

FYI...

The 2391-10 has been replaced by two qualifications:

• 2394-10 Principles, practices and legislation for the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations.

• 2395-10Principles, practices and legislation for the Periodic Inspection Testing and Condition Reporting of Electrical Installations.

There is a multiple choice online assessment which contains the common assessment criteria of 2394 and 2395. For each qualification there is also a dated examination, comprising of six structured questions (three of which are scenario based), duration 1hr 30mins and each qualification contains a practical assignment.

I'm Still waiting for my results from the December Exam, I have my practicle tommorow so Fingers crossed.
I think I did ok on the exam, Although talking to others I have picked up a few stupid mistakes that I made and dropped marks on.

Chichester College failed the August as well will have to give them a call about March exam tomorrow and get my head back in the books

Did you pass the practical?

Here is the examiners report from the Oct paper, some usefull info..
http://cdn.cityandguilds.com/Produc...91-301_Chief_examiner_report_October_2012.pdf

we were taught the syllabus as set out by city and guilds, all papers are set out the same, you can pretty much guarantee for example question 13/14 are about IP coding.

I found the practical fairly easy, fault finding is just thinking logically putting it into words with the correct terminology i struggle with that and my memory is poo due to years of alcohol abuse as a young holiday rep
