Hi, I'm looking for a cheapish but good multimeter with a backlight on the display and turns off automatically.

The cheapest Fluke 101 has auto-off but the website doesn't say if it has a backlight.
Thanks.

there must have been a nano second between those posts.

That's a handy looking meter, can you cailbrate the temp with ice and boiling water?

Do you want me to try lol.
I have put the probe in an electric oven and it cut out and the meter read the correct temp. .
The light meter was accurate to my Weston Euromaster.
It is a cracking meter for the money, even has a humidistat.

BEWARE, the cheap multimeter above has an UNFUSED 10A shunt and I would suspect it would have a glass bodied fuse on the the small shunt. It would be very nasty if either shunt ended up L to E/N or across phases. 34XR-A BEHA-AMPROBE, True RMS Digital Multimeter, 3999 Count with Temperature and Backlight | Farnell element14 - http://uk.farnell.com/beha-amprobe/34xr-a/multimeter/dp/1466461 would be a better idea, backlight, HBC fuses on the shunts and has a very strong magnet on a strap on the back to hang anywhere.
