How much is it typically for metered export?
is this something the utilities want to get involved in?

at what sort of size do you consider it beneficial to switch over? smoke packet answers welcome

The current export tariff is 4.77p on 50% deemed generation.

Cut-over point depends on the use profile of an individual property (Immersun etc) which you would have to calculate. Very few utilities are interested in administering the export metering of small quantities.

We are looking at 10kw

8,130 kwh/annum

FiT @ 13.03p/kwh = ÂŁ1,059.34
Export tariff at 4.77 for 50% = ÂŁ193.90

Savings is a bit of a waste of time, as Im told the ENTIRE electricity bill is ÂŁ200/annum for the building in question and primarily in the evening.

Obviously if the export would be paid based on lets say 75%-90% of the electricity generated, its coming down to the cost of installing?

Should become a choice for existing systems with the introduction of smart meters. Is already in the legislation. Deeming only in place until this happens.

If you have mains gas, being paid value of export at 4.77p would negate the benefit of an Immersun or similar.
