I'm pricing up a dentist surgey re-wire and wondered if it needed a fire alarm system? I'm certain it does along with a couple of emergency lights above the exits.

Can i wire the fire alarms myself, i know we used to about 6 years ago but not sure if there has beeen a reg change or not.

There are also 2 flats above the surgery would these need to be connected to the same circuit or would standard smokes surfice?

Thanks
