What you base the design current of standard 3-4 bedroom house with electric cooker/hob and shower ? the reason i ask is im trying to check vd on a 50m cable.

R, X and Z... resistance, reactance and impedance.
Basically how much volt drop you will get due to the resistance, reactance and total impedance of the cable.
AFAIK, generally, you can use the Z figure.

you will ALLWAYS get some twonk undercut u ,but thats cos they are most probably not even qualified and dont care,i know a lot of twonks like that...untill the gov make it clear that ONLY qualified electricians can do electrical work!!!!
