I was wondering how some of you felt when you went self employed?
I'm about to have the van sign written tommorow, i have the public liability in place and the elecsa appointment booked.
I'm 38 and been in construction since I was 18, I was a self employed chippy for 10 years until I just had enough, I've spent the last 3 years building upbto this, to go self employed was always my intention as at my age in not doing an apprenticship.ive got reasonably good domestic experience and feel confident in that area, my commercial side is very limited, my anxiety is that I suppose I feel like I'm cheating the industry??!
I'm no mug though, I want to do provide a good service and like to think I have always done in other things ice done, I'm certainly no cowboy, this is something i wanted to do when I was 16 but it's took me a further 22 years.
I'm expecting no miricles and know I will have to do a Certain amount of learning on the job, especially on the commercial stuff, I've got my 2330 levels 2 and 3, my 17th, my 2393 buildin regs, my 2392, all the pat testing and also my photovoltaic 2372, I've also took advice off retired but very good sparks who say I've earned a shot at it.
Did anybody else feel this way???
