Dimmer Switch Wiring Question

Hey guys,

I have an uplighter with a slidey dimmer switch:

And I'd like to replace the switch with something like this:

As you can see my current switch has 4 wires and as far as I can tell a dimmer switch only has 3, how do I go about doing this?

That looks like a power supply for the switchYou will probably need to do away with that and just connect the switch as normal.Red/Brown-COM Black/Blue-L1

Yeah one cable is the plug the other goes to the lamp

I would just do away with that then mate and connect the switch up as normal.

Connect the brown from power to common, brown from light to other side of switch and crimp join the neutrals together, use a good quality crimper
