Had a quick look on the way home at a flat with 4 Duoheat heaters.
Theres 2 flexes into the heaters, 1 is wired from a dedicated ring via a FCU next to the heater and the second is via a DP switch which is fed from a radial via a contactor in the CU.
There is also a 10amp switch next to each heater, with 2 browns into com and L1 having a black wire connected to the 4th core of the flex in the FCU next to it. The 2 blues are in a terminal block.
Just having a quick read of the manual for the 4 zone programmer and in mentions a pilot wire system to contol the heaters. Can anyone explain what they mean by a pilot wire please
