Here goes first thread. Go easy on me.
I'm trying to suss out the guidance on Diversity contained in the OSG. In particular there are 2 tables A1 (Current demand to be assumed for points of utilisation and current using equipment) and Table A2 (allowances for Diversity).
For example in table A1 it states a minimun of 100W per lampholder as the "current to be assumed" (ignoring complications on discharge lights in the notes). But in Table A2, in a house, it states for lighting to allow 66% of the total current demand.
Here's my interpretation.
Use Table A1 for the purposes of determining I[SUB]b [/SUB]for sizes of cables and protective devices and voltage drop etc and use Table A2 to apply diversity to determine the maximum demand for the whole installation to ensure suitablity of the main DB isolating switch.
Please tell me if you think if I am on the right tracks or not.
