just made, just need some stop ends on the arms now i think.

any thing else i can do/incorperate to make it better? maybe a little bar between to hold sleeving??
Doesn't look very stable. When you draw the cable the reel will come off, the jack will tilt to one side or the arms will break under the reel weight (can't rely on that welding).
Have a look at this for more ideas -> cable reel stand - Google Search and stop keeping your pickles in that blue bottle; they go bad in plastic bottles.just made, just need some stop ends on the arms now i think.

A real practical solution and you are highly resourceful. :drummer:... What's wrong with using an A frame ladder and a broom handle anyway? Works every time for me.

nothing can beat an apprentice holding a 6ft length of conduit. 2 legs for bracing against the pull, and 2 hands for end stops.
