Hello all. Just looking for others opinion on this set up. From what I remember my outdoor motion sensor light is hooked up from an indoor receptacle. I added a light switch as well to reset/ turn off the outdoor light. All are on a 15 amp circuit. My question is that is this set up ok? I believe it is run by 14gauge romex to the outdoor light. It is pvc conduit that goes up the wall and I think it was sealed and painted with ‘great stuff’. Wondering if I should remove the romex and add thwn/thhn wires (the correct wires for conduit) in the conduct. Any information is appreciated. Thanks
- John

As long as the existing wiring is approved for outdoor use and everything is working as planned then there is no need to replace the wiring.
