Did Billy on DIY SOS just say that there was no SUPPLEMENTARY BONDING to the gas and water?? WTF. Why do we bother?

Actually, I thought it showed the professionals in good light tonight. The fact that the guy was a bricky (and from what I saw of the blockwork looks to be a good one, too) and had to call in reinforcements demonstrates the fact that things rarely happen overnight if you want them done properly. And it also shows PROFESSIONALS being called in to sort out the problem, not the bloke down the pub.

Good point well made!

How many of us would have the balls to stand in front of a camera and demonstrate your work being done?

I cant handle even a customer watching me,so to work and talk the job,I take my hat off to the guy (Billy) for doing so,poor terminology and slips of the tongue are pardoned by me for doing the job at all under such scrutiny

well if there was no main bonding then how could there be supplementry bonding? so really there was no bonding at all, i just thought it was strange when he said there was no bonding so they shouldnt be touching anything and there were no boxes or chases done, well put in the bonding and the boxes then billy pmsl

I was only paying half attention at that point, but I thought he was saying that in relation to it effectively being a building site and therefore needing a rod (assume it was PME at the house)?????
