Do I need an ECS or not?....

Good day.

I've looked on the ECS website and it states:-

Exemptions for having an ECS card (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) card | FAQs) is if you have an iosh working safely card thing. I have one of these so do I still need an ECS - I'v e just realsied my ECS has ran out of date do I need to replace it??

Confused.com!!

Thanks for any and all help I'm going to contact the ECS anyway but thought I'd ask the people whos doing the job.

Seems not, as long as you obtained the cert within 2 years of the date of expiry of the ECS card, you wont need to sit the ECS exam, just send off for a new card.

Cheers me old mucker!! That's what I thought. But wasn't sure if I need an ECS card or is the iosh an equivilant?!

Depends where you want to go, you may find it's a site specific set of rules.

All sites will accept the ECS, unsure about your IOSH version though.
