I hope you all read it correctly and did not think i had spelt something else I have just been asked to give a saliva sample to see if i am a match for bone marrow. just wondered if anyone had donated or knew of anyone who had in the past? I believe its only a 1% chance of being a match which if you are waiting for a donor that`s a pretty scary thought tbh. anyone any ideas how long your sort of off your feet if you do donate.

But good on you for going for it.

I’ve carried a donor card for 30 years even though my Ex was against it. If anyone gets any bits of me now, all I can say is they must be bloody desperate. Well they won’t need a long list of drugs they come pre-installed.

saliva sample mate.they also have a what they call a spit on demand where they turn up at a time and place for you.

Philthere was an appeal a few years back which i volunteered for through blood donor service (I've given blood for years it's a good way of regulating the pressure hehe) but I never heard anything more about it. I'd still like to go on the register so please advise where you sign up please.
