It's quite high up on the wall, so nobody passing by is going to touch it. However, this qualifies as a decent installation here! Compared with some, it's a very classy bit of work...and nobody dies, well, not often! (Iknow, you only die once, but you get my drift!)
However, water ingress to the sockets will be the most likely scenario. Oddly enough, also a scenario inside this bar where there are 2 sockets immediately above the sink...
I just love how casual they are, it's amusing...but a bit worrying too. The bar owner is a friend, so I was able to chide him about it. I asked what happens in a massive downpour? Easy, he said, I just unplug it til the rain has stopped!
Yup, that whole lot is run off a single plug and socket inside the bar...simples!

I suppose as long as they are rcd covered then its all dandy.
Probably would have been cheaper to gland it into a decent box though as those sockets etc i wouldn't have thought are cheap.

Another beauty, agricultural job, spot the mistakes.
I love Farm work, it never ceases to amaze me, even when you think you have seen all the lash ups and bodges someone will come up with a new one!

I like the SWA Gland, allows you to see if the armour has deteriorated or not. Do you know where i can get hold of some of them….?

I like the lack of cable support for the tails to to the left hand CU. Always try to keep cost down for the customer. As Tesco say, every little helps.

I also like the way they have the single insulation exposed on the undersized SWA going into the terminal blocks. Can make sure the right cable is in the right block then. Easy to check on inspections.

It is a cracker! There is also no earth to the single phase fuseboard, the Swa of the 10mm cable is connected in with the neutral of the 4pole switch as well as exposed insulation and no gland. There is a single phase Swa 2x2.5mm with no earth rammed in with the 25mm tails before the isolator so DNO fuse is protecting that!
It took me a few looks at it to see what else was going on there! There is a real banquet for the eyes!😀
@westward10 it is Swa just bad lighting.

....that top T+E's a picture for level, though.

and I'd like a look in those Henleys...

The twin and earth clipping is very neat, shame about the rest of the installation!
I am quoting for it at the moment, if I get the job I will take some more pictures of the insides of the installed stuff, I bet there are some cables with haircuts in those henley blocks, and would love to see the inside of that 4 pole isolator, wonder how they have fitted the swa strands into the neutral terminal with the 10mm conductor!

Todays little beauties. Guessing the previous person hasn’t heard of checking connections are tight and secure.

Obviously did with the 16a Wylex MCB though as they’ve started to split the MCB casing.

Nicely pinched insulation on the CPC too. Although not bothered with one leg of the ring. Not like it’s important as the other leg CPC is connected…
