they couldn't even put the plasterboard the right way up! Stand on your head trying to read it.

thats pretty standard bodge up hiding joint boxes in walls back in the day.

When you come across some of the worst bodges you ever saw, and you're showing them to the client, and they're saying 'Dad would never have done that, he was an electrical engineer!'

All 21 of the cottages were wired by him over a 40 yr period, the sub mains is partly swa but mostly 16 mm T&e.

Years of work left for me.

Having lots of brains but no planning sense makes for the botch up

The cables aren't on the insulators and are just flapping about. Surely that's not right?
