Lovely. Looks in great nick.🙂
Maybe 'whoever' should have changed that beauty when they carried out the rewire........60 or 70 years ago. 😉

Or perhaps it's just been kept for show.
If you go to Beamish Museum, in the 1900s town, in the cellar of the bank, you'll find this.
I do wonder if it's genuine, or just random bits tgrown in for show.

At our church we have "modern" wiring - imperial T&E (or T no E on the lights), but they used the old switches where visible to fit in with the aesthetics. Not that there would have been any lecky when it was built 200 years ago, that only arrived in the 70s.

Are they actually prohibited even if fitted when they were allowed, or prohibited to be fitted ?
This site says they aren't retrospectively banned, so as a matter of ISITEE, it's not a fail to see one - even if it wasn't legally fitted in the first place.
Another site backs this up, but they "recommend" they be replaced.

Last ISITEE code of practice I believe recommended that plugs with non sleeved pins were swapped, but it was not mandatory to do this. Not sure about the current revision 5 of the COP though as I don't have it.

OMG Paul, great photo.

Leaving the top/left hole open to IP is ridicules… there’s 4xFixing positions.! So USE them.
Over use of open grommets is a Waste of products.

The only thing missing is a ‘Hair Clip’ or 6” nail.

Luv these pics to show my apprentices.

👍👍👍👍

Maybe your apprentices will notice the actual wiring connections.
