You got it, they cut the pin off and notched the rcd, put it top of the board to allow it in at the back, 100% for inginuity but not the way to do it lol.
As much as this is rough you have to give a little credit.

This one is just strange.
Crabtree Starbreaker box, Hager main switch, CGD RCBOs, one Fusebox MCB, bus bar fed from bottom of main switch into one of the RCBO's by that red wire underneath.
What irks me is that it's all fairly neatly done....can't be DIY...someone knew what they were doing here.

I would imagine the person responsible for the installation of the Fusebox MCB is also responsible for tampering with the bus bar and the link cable!

Considering that starbreaker board would come with a plug in bus bar, it's more likely whoever installed the Hager & Lewden gear tampered with the bus bar - otherwise nothing would have worked.

Wiring up for an ASHP yesterday. Plumber had been in before and had his apprentice repurpose and wire the existing immersion supply. Bless, at least he tried.

I later found the immersion was wired from an existing ring final. Had to open the JB to remove cabling (then rana new circuit). Think that vermin family all died together.

I also see the cables have just been chopped off at the neutral bar instead of unbolting the lug, how lazy.

Saw the same thing today on some isolators where the load had been removed.

Another view, the other end of these cables is very nicely installed and I can only assume this end was once. It hurts seeing stuff like this. There is no excuse, especially as these are all metric cables with new pots and glands readily available. Even if they were old imperial cable there is no excuse. Out of view some of the other cables are too long so loops have been buckled into them to 'shorten' the cables. Pathetic.

It's particularly painful when chances to play with MICC are rather low for most of us, and the chance to do a neat re-pot and gland job would have had me salivating over my joy-stripper. (thought I'd better add a hyphen there)

To add insult to injury the tie tails have all been roughly cut off leaving sharp edges everywhere.
