Any of you knowledgeable people know what this is, 2 of them are one the ground near the front door of a house I'm purchasing.

Dunno, but as Ken Dodd used to say, if you want to check if you're alright you should have two of everything down the sides and one of everything down the middle.

I’d guess that the installation was done by someone who cares a bit more about doing a good job than those people who do the bare minimum necessary and just bang one small earth rod in.
