Does anyone know where this red wire goes..it came out and I have no idea where to put it...it's a rose on my landing ???

Yes there does seem to be an absence of cpcs.

I think there’s cpcs connected under the screw clamp near the blue of the flex

Indeed,but i was alluding to the minor detail of their design being for a shear load,and most definitely not,a overhead or suspended load.

I seem to remember a certain court case,involving a pet dog,and a dining room fan,where the claims court judge,concluded this was the case.

I see your point now. Although 4 of those would hold most light fittings pretty securely.
