Does boiler cable need to be heat resistant?

I for one think you asked a perfectly good question and it deserved a perfectly good answer! You are obviously not a fly by night doing a bit of electrical work. Yes you are right about ego's!

I don't intend to chew on anymore than I can eat. There seems to be alot of ego in this forum. I only wish to carry on doing what I have done for the past 20 years in peace. Sadly the introduction of Part P will do the same for electrics as ACOP/ACS/ Gas Safe has done for my part the industry. Lets be sure it will not improve standards but do the reverse. And it will put those out of business who care about doing the right thing.

Me thinks someone doesn't like competition.

Take a look where i am. I haven't worked in the UK for a good many years, and haven't worked as an electrician for a good many years before that!! So i don't think competition comes into it at all!! ....lol!!
