Hi I am new to this site and the world of electrics, I have recently signed up to do a dopmestic electrical installers course but as I understand this does not make me a fully qualified electrician, I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on what it qualifies me to work on and what the job opportunities are like for a domestic electrical installer.
Here is a list of the qualificatuins I get from my course if thats any help;
Industry Certification in Essentiasl Electrics
Emergency First Aid Certfifcate
Part P Defined Scope
C&G 2377
C&G 2330-201 (level 2 unit1)
C&G 2330-202 (level 2 unit 2)
C&G 2330-203 (level 2 unit 3)
C&G 2330-204 (level 2 unit4)
C&G 2382-10 17th Edition of the IEE wiring
Full scope part p theory and practical qualification assessments
Logic Certfication - Domestic Period Inspection Report

Many thanks

Three years ago i took one of these courses after twenty years as a printer, you will not get a job with a company because they will laugh at your qualification you wont be able to get site work because they wont recognise your qualification. The course i did cost ÂŁ6000 consisted of five modules after each module was a week at the centre with extra costs for B&B . When you finish your course you get out there is very little you can legally do without being part of a self certification scheme , NIC EIC now require at least C&G 2392 inspection and testing before they will take you seriously , and it will cost you around ÂŁ600 to get registered , if they except you .
Since finishing my course i have passed C&G 2392-20 and just this year C&G 2391-10 which is very intense and full maths so dont think you will walk out and become rich. Remember each of these centres all over the country is knocking out four or five hotshots a week .
I noticed you didn't list Guidance Note 3 in your list of books, this is a must .
