Evening all.

Since 17th started & all lighting circuits on RCD, I've been installing emergency lights ( just basic bulkhead) if the board is concealed (cupboard under stairs, or garage)
Tend to use maintained under stairs, non maint' in garage.
Obviously wired into the circuit supplying the room, or nearest, where the board is located.
It only puts a few quid on the bill, but I've found it quite often just gives you the advantage.
Have even given it as an FOC to secure a job.

Just wondered if anyone else carried out this practice.

Yup, been doing it a couple of years now.

Customers love it.

In fact, i have just fitted some maintained decorative fittings in the hallway of a bungalow rewire, where the old lady is on her own 90% of the time.

Yea I know the customers love it.

Surprised that from a H&S point of view it hasn't found it's way in in to a reg, building or otherwise!
