Hi
As part of my plumbing training it includes a seperate Part P training/qualification You must first register with Elecsa I originally wanted this so that i could wire controls etc However, it seems that I will be qualified to do a lot more once qualified and assessed Can someone please clarify if this will allow me to do ALL domestic wiring or just in special locations ? Also once assessed what equipment will I need ?
Thanks :)

Good answers above mate, I would say that as a general plumber(qualified ) as well as a qualified electrician, you would be looking to spend probably £500 on stock, £3k on major tools, and probably another £1k in the first year on tools and stock to be really complete. Most of our work is manking holes in buildings, you may well already have all that equipment. I have found that its not possible to be both a plumber and electrician. You just cant keep up with it all.

Depends how you apply to Elecsa or whatever else... They have a "defined scope" for other professions who may encounter electrical work in the course of plumbing or whatever or "full scope" for electricians. I'd give Elecsa a bell, very nice and helpful people.
